HOW TO GET TO PERTH

Perth Airport is situated approximately 15km east of the city.

QANTAS and Virgin Australia are the primary operators of flights from all major hubs of Australia, while Singapore Airlines, Emirates and QATAR Airways are the primary carriers for international travellers.

Travelling Around Perth

Public Transport

TransPerth is the provider of public transport services across the metropolitan area. A SmartRider is a pass (similar to Opal or Myki) that will allow ease of using the network by simply tagging on/off at destinations, and can be purchased at both city train stations, as well as Smart Carte at Perth Airport Terminal 1.

Car Hire

With multiple carriers operating from Perth Airport, car hire can be arranged directly from the airport terminal, either in advance or on arrival. An additional option includes Car Next Door who offer by the hour or by the day car hire, with a similar model to AirBnb.

Parking

CPP and Wilson Parking are the primary car park providers in the CBD, with a wide range of parking options available all throughout the city. There is a range of street parking, from free to fee-paid utilising an array of parking apps including EasyPark, PayStay and CelloPark.

Taxi/Rideshare

Perth hosts a variety of rideshare services, including Uber, DiDi & Ola.

Working Spaces

There are a variety of co-working spaces across the CBD area, including Spacecubed, WeWork, Tank Stream Labs, LevelNine, Studio StartUp, Regus, and The Bureau.

Frequently asked questions

When should I arrive in Perth?

West Tech Fest commences on Sunday 3 December 2023 with our Opening Night Sundowner for international guests and Festival Pass holders. The first day of the festival commences Monday 4 December with West Tech Women.

It is recommended to arrive before the first event you attend, providing yourself time to check in, rest and recharge, and acclimate. Feel free to arrive a couple of days earlier and enjoy the weekend sightseeing around our beautiful state.

What is the best way to get from the airport?

There are a few available options when travelling to and from Perth Airport.

Taxis: The main taxi service providers are Black & White Cabs and Swan Taxis. Both are available 24/7 to pick-up arriving passengers from the taxi ranks located at the front of all terminals – simply follow the signs.

Public Transport: Transperth is WA’s public transport provider and operates regularly between Perth Airport, the CBD and other local areas.

Individuals can now take a direct train to and from the airport with the new METRONET Forrestfield-Airport Line, operating from Claremont to High Wycombe via Perth Station. Trains will operate every 12 minutes at peak times, every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night (Click here for Airport Line Timetable).

There is no dedicated parking available for the events. For events held in the CBD, CPP and Wilson carparks are available. Limited paid street parking is also available.

Are there any organised shuttles to the events outside of the city?

Do you have preferred accommodation providers?

Yes. We recommend staying at Pan Pacific Perth, located in the CBD, as the main West Tech Fest Conference will be held there.
